The samurai is one of the great subjects in Japanese-inspired tattooing — a figure that carries themes of honour, discipline and resolve. Matt works it in black and grey across upper arms, sleeves and forearms, from full armoured warriors and narrative temple scenes to quieter standing figures, often set against pagodas, mountains and cherry blossom.
